Chillhop Essentials – Fall 2018

Nach den Dust Collectors läuten auch die Chillhopper unwiderruflich den Herbst ein. Mit Chillhop Essentials – Fall 2018 stimmen uns die Niederländer ganz gediegen auf die dunkle Jahreszeit ein. Das Doppel-Vinyl wurde wieder über QRATES „abgewickelt“. 1.300 handnummerierte Doppel-Alben wurden unter die Instrumental begeisterte Menge gebracht. Da musste der Praktikant ganz schön schreiben. In den Online-Shops von VinDig und HHV sind noch ein paar Kopien vorrätig. Und neuerdings kann man auch direkt im Chillshop shoppen. Gratis-Tipp: Die 2LP könnte ich mir auch sehr gut als Weihnachtsgeschenk vorstellen.

Meine Wertung: 10/10 für Chillhop Essentials – Fall 2018. Mehr braucht man eigentlich nicht schreiben, ohne sich zu wiederholen. Denn es ist alles wie immer: Chillige Beats von entspannten Produzenten, A&R vom Feinsten, Höchstwertung, unbedingt mehr davon.

Favoriten: L’indécis x sad toï – Dog Days, j’san x nymano – autumn breeze und idealism – illusions.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Knowmadic – Coming Up for Air. 16 Tracks hat der junge Beatschmied aus San Jose, California für sein Vinyl-Debüt produziert. Chillige und sphärische Beats zwischen Freude und Melancholie, angereichert mit jazzigen Samples, bahnen sich ihren Weg ganz smooth von Seite A bis B. Beste Lo-Fi Unterhaltung, die man vorzugsweise und ganz entspannt auf einer heimischen Chaiselongue geniessen sollte.

Dust Collectors – Seasonal Sounds 5: Fall

Es ist Herbst. Nicht nur der Blick aus dem Fenster bestätigt diese steile These. Auch der Kassettenrecorder spuckt es aus: Dust Collectors – Seasonal Sounds 5: Fall. Satte 44 Tracks wurden auf das herbstliche Beat Tape gepackt. Insgesamt gibt es 72 Minuten mit feinsten Lo-Fi Instrumentals auf die Ohren. Der rappende Wahl-Berliner AzudemSK hat Schlicht & Ergreifend erstmalig im Juli 2017 als digitale EP veröffentlicht. Das Label HHV Records hat dann zu meiner Freude AzudemSK x Orange Field – Schlicht & Ergreifend auf schwarzes Vinyl bannen lassen und in ein schlichtes orangefarbenes Cover gepackt. Orange is the new … ok, lassen wir das lieber. Die Platte (HHV711) wurde von Freddy Ohh im Sirius-Sounds Tonstudio gemischt und gemastert und ist im Online-Shop von HHV zum Kauf verfügbar.

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für AzudemSK x Orange Field – Schlicht & Ergreifend. Fettes Sorry an AzudemSK, dass ich mich wieder mal fast „nur“ über die Instrumentals auslasse. Aber die sind nunmal extrem awesome. Die Jungs von Orange Field (Freddy Orange, J.Field, Maedic) haben sieben Beats gebastelt, die mich total begeistern. Melancholische Sounds, saubere Drums und jazzige Samples, damit sind sie bei mir schon mal absolut richtig. Obendrauf noch die Cuts von Mighty Maigl … Hamma! Die Instrumentals bekommen von mir 10/10. Da die Rap Parts von AzudemSK, Actor, Nowakke und Marco Zügner – sowohl vom Stil, als auch vom Inhalt – ebenfalls nicht zu verachten sind, bekommt die Platte in voller Gänze eine 9/10.
