Chillhop Essentials Summer 2019 (Chillhop Music)

Jetzt, wo der Sommer fast vorbei ist, da komme auch ich endlich mit den „Chillhop Essentials Summer 2019“ um die Ecke. Aber besser spät als nie oder so. Die sommerliche 2LP ist über Chillhop Records erschienen. Um die Herstellung und den Vertrieb hat sich die japanische Crowdfunding-Butze QRATES gekümmert. Insgesamt wurden 2.000 Kopien in weinrotes Polyvinylchlorid gepresst. Das handnummerierte Gatefold-Cover wurde von Tristan Gion gestaltet.

Die aktuelle Sommer-Edition überzeugt mit 24 Instrumentals, die von Chillhop-Legende Philanthrope gemastert wurden. Erneut sorgen mir bekannte und unbekannte Produzenten mit allerlei tonerzeugenden Geräten für eine entspannte Stimmung. Die Beats sind wieder enorm warm und chillig und mit jazzigen Samples aufgehübscht. Grandioser Sampler, exzellente Essentials, der Herbst kann kommen. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „sleepy fish – for when it’s warmer“, „junior state – Nice and Easy“ und „Leavv – Driftwood“.

Chillhop Essentials – Spring 2019

Dank Chillhop Records muss man sich nicht um die Jahreszeiten kümmern. Mit „Chillhop Essentials – Spring 2019“ wird dementsprechend und zünftig der Frühling eingeläutet. Die 2LP-Compialtion wurde erneut über den japanischen Vinyldienstleister QRATES finanziert, hergestellt und einigermaßen pünktlich ausgeliefert. 1300 Kopien wurden gepresst. Hier im Vinyl-41-HQ rotiert Nummer 803. Das überaus gefällige Artwork stammt vom talentierten Franzosen Tristan Gion.

Für die Frühjahrs-Edition wurden 25 Tracks, die von Philanthrope gemastert wurden, in zwei elfenbeinfarbene Polyvinylchloridscheiben verewigt. Dafür wurden wieder (mir) bekannte und unbekannte Beatschmiede rekrutiert. Neben Instrumentalgrössen wie Plusma, Flitz&Suppe, Psalm Trees, B-Side und einigen mehr gab es ein weiteres Mal viele neue Produzenten zu entdecken. Genau das macht für mich den Charme dieser Compilations aus. Die warmen und entspannten Beats mit jazzigen Samples der aktuellen Ausgabe sind wie Sonnenstrahlen für die geschundenen Winterseele. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Cloudchord x G Mills – Sunlit“, „stream_error, H.1 – City Lights“, „Ian Ewing – leaving“, „fantompower – Morning Dew“ und „sleepy fish – I Wish It Would Never Stop Snowing“.

Da die Essentials erfahrungsgemäß schnell vergriffen sind, solltet ihr die Online-Shops von Chillhop Records, HHV Records oder VinDig aufsuchen und euch eine Kopie sichern. Viel Spass beim reinhören!
