Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Soupbox – Perception. Das Vinyl, auf das satte 25 Tracks gepresst wurden, ist ein weiterer Vertreter der ganz chilligen Sorte. Gediegene Beats und jazzige bis soulige Samples machen das Album zur perfekten Kautschmusik, so wie es der Autor dieser Zeilen mag.

Smoke Trees – Steamer heisst das neueste Solo-Werk des Stuttgarter Beatschmieds, der hier bei Vinyl 41 kein unbekannter ist. Das Album wurde, wie auch schon sein Debüt Into The Deep, über das Label-Trio Urban Waves / Radio Juicy / HHV veröffentlicht. Von Steamer (HHV695) wurden 300 Kopien in schwarzes Vinyl gepresst. Bei hhv.de kann man die limitierte Platte käuflich erwerben.

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Smoke Trees – Steamer. Der Stuttgarter Beat Smith entwickelt sich immer mehr zum Großmeister des Chill Hop. Ein smoothes Album nach dem anderem verlässt die ESTUGARDA-Produktionshalle. Für Steamer hat er 19 jazzige Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks gebastelt, die wieder mal so richtig nonchalant daherkommen. Entspannung pur!
