Vor kurzem waren die beiden norddeutschen Beatschmiede noch mit dem Tandem der Raw Suppliers unterwegs. Fast zeitgleich legt das Duo mit „asbeluxt x Loopacca – Nocturno“ ein eigenes Vinyl auf die Plattenteller der Welt. Erschienen ist die Platte über das Weddinger Underground Hip-Hop Label Dezi-Belle (DB069). In den Pressen von intakt! sind wieder einige Schmuckstücke entstanden: 12″ pink/transparent blue split, pink+blue marbled, pink+blue marbled und einige Farbkombinationen mehr haben das Presswerk in einem total hübschen, von Karla-Jean v.Wissel und Lea Berndorfer gestalteten, Cover verlassen. 12 instrumentale Hip Hop Tracks haben die beiden Rohstofflieferanten asbeluxt und Loopacca für „Nocturno“ produziert. Oder wie es Loopacca beschreibt: »Mein Homie Luca aka asbeluxt und ich haben zusammen viel gehangen und über die Zeit is daraus ne ganze Sammlung an Beats zusammen gekommen.« Und diese chilligen Lo-Fi-Beats inklusive wabernder Samples bevölkern das grandiose Vinyl auf beiden Seiten. Meine Wertung: 8/10. Favoriten: „nocturno“, „yamha.a“ und „tetrahydrocannabinol“.

Die beiden französischen Beatschmiede Nymano und Pandrezz haben für ihr Kollabo-Album neun instrumentale Hip Hop Tracks produziert. Auf dem vinylen Debüt sind chillige Beats und Samples, passende Klavier- und Saxofonklänge sowie entspannte Drums zu hören. Chillhop vom allerfeinsten. „Nymano x Pandrezz – Hometown“ ist so dermaßen friedlich und voller Lebensfreude, da wird einem schon ein bisschen schwummerig vor Glück. Großartig! Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Fireworks“, „Back Home“ und „Gone Again“.

Für „Tapes 08 2019“ sind acht satte Tapes am Start. Alle Kassetten, die ich hier und jetzt vorstelle, sind eine absolute Empfehlung aus dem Vinyl-41-HQ. Aus dieser Qualitätsmasse haben sich jedoch drei Tapes herauskristallisiert, die ich als persönliche Highlights bezeichnen und extra erwähnen möchte: „Dj Pirna – TableDanceFlightSimulator (Former City Records)“, „Mr. Backside – Backsides V (Amajin Records)“ und „Joeseph Hill x johnEkwest – Anthropozän (LabOhr)“. Die drei Magnetbänder sind vielleicht nicht deutlich besser als der „Rest vom Schützenfest“, aber irgendwie erfrischend anders.

Nach The Day Off, Street Bangerz Vol 6 und The Day After steht mit „Poldoore – Mosaic“ das vierte Vinyl des belgischen Beatschmieds parat. Das Album ist im Mai 2019 über Allo Floride Artist Services erschienen. Für das schlichte Artwork ist die Creative Design Agency UNCOMPRESSED verantwortlich. Das Mastering stammt von On And On aus Paris.
Für sein viertes Album hat Poldoore 13 Tracks produziert. Die Beats und Samples wandern lässig zwischen den Genres Hip Hop, Soul, Electro sowie Funk hin und her. Für zwei Songs hat er sich stimmliche Unterstützung von ASM, Balkan Bump, Awon und EME geholt. Stört (mich) überhaupt nicht. Besonders „Ghetto Child“ hat mich – neben dem gewaltig wummernden Instrumental „Solace“ – nachhaltig beeindruckt. Tadellose Platte, die nahtlos an die superben Vorgängeralben anknüpft. Meine Wertung: 8/10. Favoriten: „Just Like A Melody“, „Solace“ und „Ghetto Child“.

»Mosaic is all about puzzling together the past and the present, giving a second life to long-forgotten vintage grooves. I dug deep into tons of rare music collections, filtering out the pieces that evoked the deepest emotions in me and layered them with my own sounds in order to create this album. Expect bouncy electro soul, off-beat hiphop and atmospheric triphop grooves meticulously pieced together with live instrumentation, buzzing synth lines and fat drum sounds.«
Nach beat collective rotiert mit „Raw Suppliers – TANDEM“ (DB067) das zweite Vinyl der nordeutschen Rohstofflieferanten im Vinyl-41-HQ. Auch diese Compilation ist über das Berliner Underground Hip-Hop Label Dezi-Belle erschienen. Insgesamt wurden 460 Exemplare in eine feine Auswahl buntestem Polyvinylchlorid gepresst: 100x 12″ Vinyl black, 100x grey / yellow SPLIT, 100x grey / yellow marbled, 75x grey, 75x yellow und 10x 4 color. Da hat man die berühmte Qual der Wahl.
Für die zweite LP des Beat Collective sind 13 Tracks von 26 verschiedenen Künstlern am Start. Tag Team Action und ein Mix der Stile vom allerfeinsten. Boom Bap, Electro, Lo-Fi, Chillhop und alles durcheinander … großartige Beats und Samples von vorn bis hinten. BTW: Auch für das Artwork war mit Andre Finn x Karla-Jean v. Wissel ein Duo verantwortlich, dass ebenso exzellent abgeliefert hat. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „ddob x tribegut feat. yana – dividing 0“, „oskar hahn x wox – gergedan“ und „snaer. x beressi – sametalking“.
