Mit „Hip Dozer Compilation vol.4“ ist mal wieder eine total entspannte Instrumental Hip Hop Compilation im Vinyl-41-HQ gelandet. Boom Bap, Jazz, Funk, Lo-Fi … die 2LP kommt sehr vielseitig daher und wird dadurch an keiner Stelle langweilig. Da hat das A&R Team des französischen Record Labels für den vierten Teil wieder ganze Arbeit geleistet. »Similar to an All Star Game« 27 Tracks von ebenso vielen Beatschmieden sind auf dem Doppel-Vinyl gelandet und verbreiten heitere Kopfnickergefühle.

Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Juan Rios – Luciérnaga“, „mecca:83 – Dawn Maneuvers“, „Handbook – Come Away With“ und „Kazam – Golden Alley“. Die süperbe Compilation könnt ihr euch bei QRATES, Bandcamp oder HHV Records (Tape) zulegen.

Hip Dozer Compilation vol.3

Das Paket mit der „Hip Dozer Compilation vol.3“ hat mich echt überrascht. Denn es war nicht nur das erwartete Vinyl enthalten, sondern auch ein Plastiktütchen aus dem Hause CBD420. Den Inhalt der kleinen Beigabe haben wir natürlich sofort vernichtet und die Platte verrichtet seit dem ihren Dienst im Vinyl-41-HQ. Veröffentlicht wurde das gute Stück vom französischen Label Hip Dozer Records (HD004). Der Sampler ist mit einer Auflage von 300 Kopien erschienen. Die Herstellung des Vinyl wurde erneut über QRATES abgewickelt.

Hip Dozer hat für die hauseigene Compilation wieder einiges an hochkarätigen Beatschmieden versammelt, um beide Seiten des Vinyl zu füllen. Cookin‘ Soul, Kazam, Handbook, Ødyssee, Karmawin, Awhlee und viele mehr haben ihre Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks für vol.3 beigesteuert. Wie schon bei den ersten beiden Teilen besticht auch die aktuelle Ausgabe mit chilligen Beats und jazzig souligen Samples von mir bekannten und unbekannten Produzenten, aber alles noch einen ticken besser. Das schlägt sich natürlich umgehend auf meine Bewertung nieder. Punktgewinn.

Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Cookin‘ Soul – Cute Bartender“, „Handbook – End Credits“, „Lofi Coffee – A Little Of This“ und Boulevard 95 – Sunset Bouvelard. Auf der Bandcamp-Seite des Label sind noch ein paar Exemplare verfügbar. Schnell zuschlagen, es lohnt sich!

Wie hier schon mal leicht angekündigt liegt Hip Dozer Compilation vol.2 jetzt endlich auf meinem Plattenteller. Hat die Hip Dozer Compilation 001 noch auf eine Platte gepasst, war für den 2 Teil schon ein Doppel-Vinyl von Nöten. Für die Pressung wurde dieses mal eine Crowdfunding Kampagne über die Diggers Factory gestartet und erfolgreich durchgezogen. Final wurden 200 Kopien hergestellt.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Hip Dozer Compilation vol.2. Masse statt Klasse? Nein! Masse und durchaus auch Klasse. 24 mir bekannte und unbekannte Beatschmiede durften 24 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks produzieren. Das ganze Album ist wieder sehr chillig geworden und steht seinem Vorgänger in nichts nach. Beats von Funky bis jazzy und ein bisschen groovy… ein Sampler, den man sich mit ruhigem Gewissen gönnen kann.

Favoriten: deeB – The Brooklyn Tango, Bonus Points – After Hours und B-Side – Sunshine

Pre-Order: Hip Dozer Compilation vol.2

Nach Hip Dozer Compilation vol.1 folgt vol.2. Schön, dass diese Serie nicht abreisst. Dieses mal wird das Vorab-Geld-Einsammeln nicht über Qrates abgewickelt, sondern über Diggers Factory. Mir eigentlich egal. Hauptsache ist doch, dass die Platten (2 x LP 12″) am 31.01.2018 (Estimated delivery date) geliefert werden. Also mitmachen, Geld ausgeben und Pre-Order: Hip Dozer Compilation vol.2! Und das alles noch ziemlich zügig, denn vol.2 ist auf 200 Kopien limitiert.

Das Crowdfunding bei Qrates habe ich leider verpasst. Aber beim Plattendealer meines Vertrauens konnte ich eine Kopie von „Hip Dozer Compilation 001“ ergattern. Schon sehr interessant zu beobachten, wie aus einem vermeintlich unscheinbarem Tumblr-Blog so langsam ein sehr cooles Label entsteht. Mal schauen, was da noch so kommt …

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „Hip Dozer Compilation 001“. Die sehr chillige Platte macht echt Spass. Ich mag ja diese Compilations, wo man viele Beatbastler wieder- oder neuentdeckt. So zum Beispiel auch den Produzenten meines Lieblingstracks auf diesem Vinyl: Mounika mit „I Feel You“. Der steht schon mit How are you? in den Startlöchern, um mein Plattenregal weiter zu befüllen. Meine weiteren Favoriten sind Demouche – Sweet Dávila und Lanea – Daisuki. Aber der Rest eigentlich auch. Bei HHV und Bandcamp sind noch einige Exemplare verfügbar.
