The Stay Cool Family – Altogether Part One

Was als Radiosendung gestartet ist, hat sich jetzt zum Label entwickelt. Mit The Stay Cool Family – Altogether Part One ist jetzt das Debüt erschienen. Die Compilation ist digital bei Bandcamp als „name your price“ Download / Stream verfügbar. Ich hoffe, dass die nächste Evolutionsstufe ein Release als Vinyl oder Kassette bedeuten wird. Bis dahin geniesse ich Part One mit „slower Hip-Hop & R&B sounds“ und hoffe auf viele weitere Teile.

Nach diversen Solo-Alben haut das ungarische Label Blunt Shelter Records mit Bombed in the Blunt Shelter das erste Compilation Album raus: »We proudly present our first compilation album: Bombed in the Blunt Shelter. The double 45 rpm vinyl is loaded with heavy, dirty, yet relaxing instrumentals.«

Das Doppel-Vinyl soll (hoffentlich erfolgreich) über QRATES vorfinanziert werden. Geplant ist die Pressung von 300 Kopien. Die Crowdfunding Aktion läuft bis zum 08.08.2018. Schmale 20 europäische Währungseinheite (+ Versand) werden dafür aufgerufen. Für diese Hamma-Line-Up ein wahres Schnäppchen. Die Dust Collectors hatte ich erst vor kurzem im Programm und das Label Aviary Bridge Records ist auch keine unbekannte Größe bei Vinyl 41. Jetzt haben sich beide Parteien zusammengetan und DC Portraits Vol. 1 veröffentlicht. Auf der Kassette haben 13 Lo-Fi Tracks von 13 verschiedenen Beatschmieden Platz gefunden. Die Compilation überzeugt mit chilligem Instrumental Hip Hop. Bei Bandcamp kann man sich das Beat-Tape als Kassette oder Download / Stream zulegen. Ich freue mich schon Vol. 2!

Nach Orikami & Friends und Orikami & Dreams kommt mit Orikami & Feels die dritte Compilation vom französischen Label Orikami Records. Das Wort mit dem O dürfte sich jetzt gefestigt haben. Das besondere am dritten Teil: Endlich auf Vinyl. Über die Crowdfunding-Plattform QRATES sollte Geld für 200 Kopien eingesammelt werden. Insgesamt sind es dann überplanmässige 236 Platten geworden. Eine davon hat es jetzt in das Vinyl-41-HQ geschafft. Bei HHV kann man das Vinyl vorbestellen und bei Vinyl Digital sogar schon käuflich erwerben.

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 7/10 für Orikami & Feels Compilation. Der dritte Teil der Orikami Compilation Serie hat ein paar richtig gute Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks an Bord. Grösstenteils sind chillige Lo-Fi Beats mit jazzigem Samples zu hören. Aber „leider“ sind auch ein paar Rap Titel dabei und die passen gefühlt nicht auf die Platte. Mag dem einen oder anderen gefallen, mir persönlich nicht so wirklich.

Favoriten: j’san – Faro, Saib. – Rainyway und Soryo – Le Temps Des Cerises

Kleiner Tipp am Rand, schaut euch auch die Videos an, die auf der Bandcamp-Seite der Compilation zu finden sind. Schöne – leider viel zu kurze – Filmchen des japanischen Dokumentarfilmers Ichiban.
