Chillhop Essentials – Spring 2018

Der instrumentale Frühling ist da. Chillhop Essentials – Spring 2018 ist am 22.06.2018 im Vinyl-41-HQ eingetroffen, etwas unpünktlich, aber egal. Die 2LP wurde wieder über QRATES vertrieben. Die Mädels und Jungs von Chillhop Records haben 1200 Kopien pressen lassen. Hier ist die Nummer 806 gelandet. Die beiden Vinyl werden von einem hübschen Gatefold Cover geschützt, dass von Mauro Martins designt wurde. Bei HHV (Preorder 13.07.2018) könnt Ihr die Compilation noch vorbestellen. Greift zu, es lohnt sich!

Meine Wertung: 10/10 für Chillhop Essentials – Spring 2018. Bei Instagram so: stainlexz_music: „Die ist Bombe, ne?“ – vinyl_41: „@stainlexz_music absolut. IMHO die beste(n) Platte(n) von allen bisherigen Essentials“ – stainlexz_music: „@vinyl_41 word!“. Viel mehr braucht man eigentlich nicht darüber schreiben. Mache ich aber trotzdem. Die 22 Tracks starke 2LP ist vollgepackt mit chillhoppigem Instrumental Hip Hop. Die Compilation bietet wieder ein krasses Miteinander von bekannten und (mir noch) unbekannten Beatschmieden. Da hat das A&R Team von Chillhop wieder ganze Arbeit geleistet. Ganz starkes Doppel-Album. Dafür gibt es die volle Punktzahl.

Favoriten: Ruck P – Spring in La Coruña, Leavv – Tomorrow und Joe Corfield – Wildflower

Die Dust Collectors hatte ich erst vor kurzem im Programm und das Label Aviary Bridge Records ist auch keine unbekannte Größe bei Vinyl 41. Jetzt haben sich beide Parteien zusammengetan und DC Portraits Vol. 1 veröffentlicht. Auf der Kassette haben 13 Lo-Fi Tracks von 13 verschiedenen Beatschmieden Platz gefunden. Die Compilation überzeugt mit chilligem Instrumental Hip Hop. Bei Bandcamp kann man sich das Beat-Tape als Kassette oder Download / Stream zulegen. Ich freue mich schon Vol. 2!

Soulution – Sun Fragments vol.2

Die Kassette Sun Fragments vol.1 fand und finde ich schon richtig gut. Aber Soulution – Sun Fragments vol.2 ist noch mal ein Schritt nach vorn. Da hat der holländische Beatschmied noch mal eine Schippe draufgelegt. Das Instrumental Hip Hop Beat-Tape hat 19 Tracks an Bord, die von Solution himself gemixed und gemastered wurden. Auch das Artwork stammt vom Künstler. Alles aus einer Hand. Bei Bandcamp könnt ihr euch eine Kopie sichern. vol.1 ist auch noch verfügbar. Und ich freu mich schon auf vol.3.

Die Kassette Soulution – Sun Fragments vol.1 hat mich richtig begeistert. Jetzt ist der holländische Beatschmied mit einem neuen Instrumental Tape unterwegs: Soulution – Legacy Tape. Das Beattape ist IMHO nicht ganz so stark wie der Vorgänger und leider nur digital verfügbar, aber immer noch eine Erwähnung wert.

Winter Compilation Album (Aviary Bridge Records)

Nach den Chillhoppern machen jetzt auch die Mädels und Jungs vom Label Aviary Bridge Records regelmässig in Season Compilations. Auf Herbst aka Autumn folgt jetzt konsequenterweise das Winter Compilation Album. Sie sind damit vielleicht ein paar Tage zu spät dran. Aber wir wollen mal nicht päpstlicher als der Instrumental-Papst sein. Denn das Tape ist richtig gut. Die 13 anwesenden Produzenten bieten eine fette Mischung aus Ambient, Downtempo, Drum & Bass, Electronic, Hip Hop und Triphop. Für mich die beste Kassette, die bisher von Aviary Bridge Records veröffentlicht wurde. Momentan sind bei Bandcamp noch 9 Exemplare verfügbar. Zuschlagen, bevor der nächste Winter erscheint.
