Für Tapes #29 haben sich zwei Gewinner rauskristallisiert. Die Sparte Quantität geht an FUTURES Vol. 2. Unglaubliche und durchweg gute 56 Tracks hat das Label Inner Ocean Records auf die Magnetbänder bannen lassen. Was BTW durch FUTURES Vol. 4 schon wieder getoppt wurde. Da sind unglaubliche 62 Tracks – auf zwei Tapes verteilt – am Start. Aber das nur so am Rande. Den Gesamtgewinn fährt The Spacebreaks von Funkypseli Cave Records ein. Schon mit dem ersten eigenen Sampler hat das griechische Label so richtig auf den instrumentalen Hip-Hop-Putz gehauen. Knapp dahinter landet das Beat the Sample Vol. 7 aus dem LabOhr. Wieder ganz starke Tapes, die ich durchweg empfehlen kann.
. Was für ein Release. Dieses mal gab es von Dezi-Belle nicht nur ein hübsches Vinyl, sondern noch einen frischen und absolut leckeren Cookie dazu. Hamma! Das Label aus dem Berliner Wedding geht damit wieder einmal innovative Wege. Das Album des italienischen Produzenten wurde in weisses und schwarzes Kunststoff gepresst, jeweils 50 Kopien, jeweils ausverkauft. Oooh, nicht ganz, bei HHV scheinen noch ein paar schwarze Scheiben auf Abholung zu warten. Bei Bandcamp sind zudem noch passende Tapes verfügbar. Zuschlagen!

Meine Wertung: 9/10 „Fatb – Galleta“. Das Album würde auch gut als Instrumental Hip Hop Sampler durchgehen. Bei jedem Track wird Fatb von einem anderen Beatschmied unterstützt. Es finden sich so illustre Namen wie z.B. plusma, sleepdealer, drwn. (der hier demnächst mit XV-XVII / DB032 auftaucht) und Dweeb wieder. Krasses Line-up. Kein Wunder, dass die Vinyl-Versionen bereits nach 12 Stunden ausverkauft waren.
Ich habe mir eine 180 Gramm schwere Platte in weiss gesichert. Sieht richtig gut aus das Ding und liegt fett auf dem Plattenteller. Alle 16 Tracks klingen grossartig und strotzen nur so vor extra chilligem Lo-Fi. Geht es eigentlich noch entspannter? Wieder mal ein gelungens Release von Dezi-Belle. Favoriten: Muttsee feat. drwn., Lotus flower feat. sleepdealer, Platitudes feat. rzuma und Leitmotiv feat. GXNZX.
Nach Mettphonic & Toetensen – Beach Hazers (FRUC001) aus 2015 und Thelonious Coltrane – Mr. Jackson aus 2016 gibt es endlich mal wieder ein instrumentales Lebenszeichen aus der Fruit Company. (Die Rap-Platte Analog Mechanics – Film Schieben stellt für mich nur einen unüberlegten Ausrutscher dar. ;-)) Da ist sie endlich, FRUC004, Schlafende Hunde, der erste Label-Sampler vom Fruchthof. Das 11 Tracks starke Vinyl wird über Shite Music (NO SHIT, JUST SHITE) vertrieben und ist ab sofort bei den bekannten Online-Plattendealern erhältlich.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „Schlafende Hunde“. Das Cover hat schon mal den Preis für das süsseste Design verdient. Mit Hundewelpen kann man wahrscheinlich auch nicht viel falsch machen. Aber auch der Sound des Vinyl weiss voll zu überzeugen. Auch wenn die Platte hin und wieder in die elektronische Ecke abdriftet (das Shite Umfeld ist schuld, bestimmt!), ist sie von Track 1 bis 11 ein gelungener Instrumental Hip Hop Sampler geworden. Favoriten: Wilczynski – Anightwithashanti, Mettphonic – Sie Sieht Aus Wie und Thelonious Coltrane – Your Beef Is My. Gern regelmässig mehr davon. Danke!
