Chillhop Essentials – Winter 2017 (Vinyl / QRATES)

Pünktlich zum Frühling 2018 erscheint Chillhop Essentials – Winter 2017. Die Übergabe des Doppel-Vinyl fand bei ca. 20 °C im Schatten statt. Aber auch hier gilt das gleiche Motto wie bei den Vorgängern auch: besser spät als nie. Die Winter Edition wurde wieder über QRATES vorfinanziert. Es wurden anschliessend 1.000 Kopien gepresst. Hier liegt die handnummerierte 230/1000 der limited Edition auf dem Plattenteller. Bei Vindig oder HHV könnt ihr euch noch ein paar Kopien schnappen. Lohnt sich, wie immer.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Chillhop Essentials – Winter 2017. Habe ich eigentlich schon mal erwähnt, dass ich diese Compilations liebe? Bestimmt schon das eine oder andere mal, oder?! Wieder haben die Chillhopper für mich bekannte Beatschmiede wie z. B. Juan RIOS, arbour, Philanthrope oder B-Side und für mich unbekannte Produzenten auf eine Instrumental Hip Hop Platte losgelassen. Und die ist wieder richtig gut geworden. 21 chillige Beats wurden in das schwarze Gold gepresst und sorgen seit dem für ein entspanntes Hörvergnügen.

Favoriten: leavv – lacuna, psalm/trees – Prayer und B-Side – Dignity

Gerade frisch vom Label Cold Busted: This Is How It Should Be Done Volume 4. Die Compilation ist quasi ein Best Of Cold Busted 2017. 12 Tracks mit feinstem Instrumental Hip Hop, wie man es vom Label aus Los Angeles, California, USA gewöhnt ist. Aber: „There are no plans for a physical release at this time.“ Schade!

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für The Jazz Jousters – Endurance. Die Platte habe ich erst relativ spät entdeckt, aber dafür um so tiefer in mein Instrumental Herz geschlossen. Gadget, der Boss von Millennium Jazz Music, hat für diese Compilation sich und 9 weitere Beatbastler rekrutiert, um 10 grossartige und jazzige Tracks zu produzieren. Hat funktioniert! Boom Bap, Hip Hop und Chilled Beats mit einer deftigen Priese gesampeltem Jazz, ein Rezept, dass total lecker anzuhören ist.

Favoriten: Slone – Part of My Life, SmokedBeat – Secret Tears und Oldy Clap Recordz – Dust on the Road

So wie einst jazzy village vol. 1, war auch die nächste Compilation vom russische Label kick a dope verse wieder fast fünf Wochen nach Berlin-Friedenau unterwegs. Da wurde wohl wieder der Postesel durch halb Europa getrieben!? Aber das Warten auf die Kassette kick a dope verse – the abstract era hat sich extremst gelohnt. 21 Tracks mit oldschooligem Boom Bap hat das Hip-Hop Label aus dem Oblast Amur auf das doppelseitige Magnetband gebannt. Grossartiges Tape!
