Dem Label Amajin Records ist dieser hübsche 10-Zöller entsprungen: Goersch – Bad Herrenalb (AR-097-LP). Vorfinaziert, hergestellt und ausgeliefert wurde die mittelgrosse Platte über den Vinyl-Dienstleister QRATES. 100 Kopien wurden produziert. ~~Auf der Bandcampseite des Labels sind nur noch zwei Exemplare zu haben.~~ Auch bei Vinyl Digital scheint der Bestand rasant zu schrumpfen. „Wenige Exemplare auf Lager – schnell bestellen!“ Guter Tip!

In this case though, it served as a source of inspiration for heavy drums, thick bass and a vibe that takes you straight to a little rural town called Bad Herrenalb. Having spent a lot of time in the forest as a kid with knapsacks full of Golden-Era-tapes, I felt it was time to come up with a little hommage. So put on your headphones and follow me deep into the woods.«

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für Goersch – Bad Herrenalb. Sieben Instrumental Tracks haben es auf das Vinyl geschafft. Für eine EP nicht so schlecht. Ganz ehrlich, die Assoziation mit dem Schwarzwald hätte ich nach den ersten Rotationen der Platte nicht hinbekommen. Aber sei es drum. Bad Herrenalb ist laut Aussage des Künstlers eine Homage an den Black Forest inkl. Kuckucksuhren und Kuchen. Für mich ist es eine EP mit satten und boombappigen Beats und Samples aus der Golden Era des Hip Hop. Prädikat: Schwarzwald Hip Hop vom Feinsten!

Sonne Ra – Mula 4 Life Deluxe Edition

Sonne Ra – Mula 4 Life ist 2014 erstmals über das Label WSP Wortspiel – jetzt als WSP Entertainment bekannt – veröffentlicht worden. Damals™ wurde das Album als Vinyl und Kassette (WSP027) auf den Markt gebracht. 2018 kam dann das Label HHV Records auf die phantastische Idee, Mula 4 Life als Deluxe Edition erneut zu veröffentlichen. Dieses mal als Doppel-Vinyl, inklusive aller Instrumentals. Yes! 300 Kopien der 2LP wurden gepresst, die im Online-Shop von HHV zum Verkauf angeboten werden.

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für Sonne Ra – Mula 4 Life Deluxe Edition. Über das gelungene Solo Debüt wurde schon | viel | geschrieben. Deshalb beziehe ich mich „nur“ auf die Instrumentals. Und die sind richtig gut. Aber bei den mitmischenden Produzenten ist das auch nicht so wirklich verwunderlich. Neben den Betty Ford Boys haben Instrumental Grössen wie Figub Brazlevic, Torky Tork und einigen mehr an den Tracks geschraubt. Die Crème de la Crème des deutschen Produzententums hat für das Album 11 Beats gebastelt. Von chillig bis oldschoolig (Cuts von Lukutz) – mit Samples aus Jazz, Soul und Funk sowie knackige Drums – ist alles dabei. Die Instrumentals kommen auch ohne die grossartigen Rap Skills vom Sonnengott und seiner Gäste ausgezeichnet zur Geltung. Prädikat: Bitte mehr Beachtung für Seite C und D.
