Jetzt auch noch Tapes? Eigentlich sollte es sich bei Vinyl 41 nur um die gute alte Schallplatte drehen. Da ich jetzt hin und wieder ein paar Kassetten im Briefkasten vorfinde, werde ich das ganze Thema ein kleines bisschen aufweichen. Auf einen weiteren Blog à la “Tape 41″ habe ich gerade keine Böcke. Und irgendwie passen Vinyl und Musikkassette ganz gut zusammen. Hauptsache analog!

CoryaYo – More Life
und Devonwho – Betaloops bieten mit 20 bzw. 42 Tracks ordentlich was auf die Hörmuschel. Beide Tapes sind voll mit solide produziertem Instrumental Hip Hop und stehen für mich auf einer Stufe. Der Gewinner bei Tapes #34 ist für mich aber OJ Son – Garden Loop. Der indonesische Beatschmied hat mich mit seinen souligen Samples und chilligen Beats voll überzeugt. Besonders begeistert hat mich Love is What You Make it . Back to the Sixties. Absoluter Ohrwurm.
Für Tapes #33 haben wir zwei Split Tapes im Angebot. Die Tag Teams Mett & Toet und Kayo & Slone treten in einem Three Way Dance gegen keinen Geringeren als Rapsport Beats an. Die Kassetten hören auf die schon jetzt legendären Namen Spliff Tape, The Nap #1 und Achtzig bis Neunzig. Viel Spass beim reinhören!

Fazit Tapes #33
Die Split Tapes Mett & Toet – Spliff Tape (Purple Urkel) und Kayo & Slone – The Nap #1 (Millennium Jazz Music) wurden schon einige Zeit vor Release angeteasert. Auf beide Kassetten herrschte hier grosse Vorfreude. Rapsport Beats – Achtzig bis Neunzig (Amajin Records) kam eher überraschend daher, startete durch und schnappte sich gleich den ersten Platz von Tapes #33. Der Rapsportler hat mich mit seinen chilligen und oldschooligen Beats sofort gefesselt und überzeugt. Die beiden Split Tapes steigen ganz knapp dahinter auf das gemeinsame zweite Treppchen. Alle drei Kassetten sind wieder eine Empfehlung auf höchstem Niveau!

Tapeinvader ist immer wieder eine gute Quelle für Kassetten (und Vinyl) aus dem Genre Instrumental Hip Hop. Im Dezember 2017 wurde noch mal ordentlich rangeklotzt und rausgehauen. Paul Prime feiert mit Blue Cheese sein analoges Debüt. proud.palms veröffentlicht mit east.blue blvd den Nachfolger seine Debüts warm.tea. Beides absolut lohnenswerte Anschaffungen. Zudem wurde mir noch das Promo Tape snaer. – leaves zugespielt. Hamma! Wirklich wieder richtig gutes Zeug, was da vom Kieler Label auf die Kassettenspieler der Welt losgelassen wurde. 3x oberstes Treppchen und 3x Empfehlung pur!
Für Tapes #31 war mir wieder keine Mühe zu gross. Ich habe Kassetten aus Schweden, Spanien und Kanada rankarren lassen, um euch ordentlich zu unterhalten. Insert Tape One, WAX TRAVELLERS und FUTURES Vol. 3 nennen sich die instrumentalen Werke, die euch von Insert Tape, MONKED RECORDS und Inner Ocean Records präsentiert werden.
