Tesk – Spotless Minds (VinDig270). Da ist er, der erste Long Player vom Darmstädter Produzenten, der mir schon bei Chillhop Raw Cuts 2 (Datswing) positiv aufgefallen ist. Erschienen ist das Vinyl in Kooperation von Chillhop Music und Vinyl Digital. Es wurden lediglich 300 Kopien gepresst. Also jetzt sofort zu VinDig und die Platte bestellen. Lohnt sich mal wieder.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „Tesk – Spotless Minds“. Die Platte kommt sehr jazzig und super chillig daher. Auch nach mehrmaligem Durchhören kann ich keinen Favoriten ausmachen, spotless Beats, alle 14 Tracks wissen zu gefallen. Das Vinyl-Debut vom deutschen Beatschmied ist ein sehr ruhiges Album geworden, perfekt für die entspannte nachmittägliche Rumliegung.

Über das Tape von Mr. Käfer brauche ich nicht viel berichten, Travelin habe ich schon an anderer Stelle als besonders wertvoll bewertet. DirtyBeauty hat zum 2. Geburtstag des Labels einen Sampler rausgehauen, der es in sich hat. Für die natürlich rasend schnell ausverkaufte Kassette „Two Year Anniversary“ haben einige der besten Produzenten des Hip-Hop-Genres ihre Beats beigesteuert. Wahnsinnstape! Für des englische Label Italdred geht Handbook an den Start, der mit „Devotion“ eine instrumentale EP vom Feinsten abgeliefert hat. Es ist mal wieder total schwer einen Sieger zu küren. Darum lasse ich es auch aka drei mal das oberste Treppchen.
ist ein weiteres Album, dass ich über die Crowdfundig Plattform Qrates erworben habe. Wiederum zeichnet sich das Label Chillhop Records für das Release verantwortlich. Die Platte kommt mit einem Booklett von Jeoffrey Magellan daher, dass die Geschichte von Plethoria erzählt. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Bundle aus Musik und Illustration, dass vor kurzem im heimischen Plattenregal gelandet ist.

Wertung für L’Indécis – Plethoria
Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „L’Indécis – Plethoria“. Einmal mehr trifft das ein, was das Label mit seinem ureigenen Namen verspricht: ein absolut chilliges Album. Der Beatschmied aus dem französischen Grenoble hat für die Platte 11 smoothe und jazzige Tracks gebastelt. Favoriten: „Her“, „The Creator“ und „Soundscapes“.
„Plethoria tells a story about a city that’s washed away and reborn in both music and visuals. The album is L’Indécis‘ first full length album. The album includes a booklet with 12 all original illustrations by Jeoffrey Magellan telling the story of Plethoria.“

Auch die Kassetten von Tapes #10 wissen durchweg zu gefallen. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das Tape des Mexikaners Lagløs. „cosmic natives“, über Nekubi_Tapes veröffentlicht, bietet 34 sowas von chillige instrumentale Tracks … kaum auszuhalten. „Jay Alpha – Life Cycles“ und „Coach Motel & Rene Schier – RITUALS“ (Danke!) brauchen sich nicht zu verstecken. Absolut hörenswert. Alle drei Tapes sollten in keiner Sammlung fehlen.
Nach AK420 – Rua Augusta und Mr. Käfer – Travelin steht mit dem am 01.09.2017 erschienenen Album „DJ Obsolete – Reminiscence“ (PPT-LP-02) das nächste vinyle Schmuckstück aus dem Hause POSTPARTUM. in meinem Plattenregal. Das Album wurde im Januar 2017 schon mal als Tape über E1K (Erstma1Kurbeln) released. Ich habe leider keine der 100 Kassetten abbekommen. Umso mehr freue ich mich über das Vinyl im hübschen white/red/black-splattered-Design, dass in einer limitierten Auflage von 250 Kopien erschienen ist. Auf dem lokalen Plattenteller liegt Nr. 008.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „DJ Obsolete – Reminiscence“. Die Platte sieht durch das white/red/black-splattered-Design und dem POSTPARTUM.-typischen OBI Strip am Cover nicht nur verdammt gut aus, sie klingt auch super. Oldschoolige Hip-Hop-Beats, stimmige Samples, der aus Köln stammende Vinyl Digger und Beatmaker DJ Obsolete hat mit dem 20 Track starken Album ordentlich abgeliefert. Meine Favoriten: „Highlife“, „Made Wit Luv“ und „I Doubt That You’re Ready“.
