Der Beatschmied aus New Jersey hat – unter freundlicher Mitarbeit von Birocratic, Tokyo Megaplex und The Kount – für sein neuestes Album 15 Tracks produziert, die nicht nur den Kopf nicken lassen. Auch die Hüfte wird musikalisch von den funkigen Hip Hop Instrumentals angesprochen. Feel Good Beats vom Allerfeinsten. Leider ist Flight Fantastic momentan nur als digitales Album verfügbar. Das Label mit dem Hund

hat mal wieder ein voll schnaftes Tape rausgehauen: sterilOne / Ikarus Split. Auf Seite A ist die nonlinear romance EP von sterilOne zu hören. Acht Tracks voller Romantik und Melancholie hat der Wiener Beatschmied für seine EP eingespielt. Seite B ist voll mit Summertime Madness. Auch Ikarus hat es etwas ruhiger angehen lassen und eher wehmütige bis träumerische Töne angeschlagen. Beide Seiten passen perfekt zusammen und auch zum derzeitigen Wetter. Ab auf den Balkon, ein kühles Getränk zur Hand, aufgedreht und die Seele baumeln lassen. So muss das. Ihr könnt Euch die Kassette, die in einer sehr hübschen Cardboard Box ausgeliefert wird, bei Bandcamp oder lastexitmusic.tictail.com zulegen. In beiden Fällen werden jeweils schmale 7,99 Euro (zzgl. Versand) fällig.

Darf ich vorstellen? Das dritte Vinyl vom ungarischen Label Blunt Shelter Records: The Drumlord – Sons of the City. Erneut hat man QRATES mit dem Crowdfunding und der anschliessenden Produktion beauftragt. 200 Kopien wurden innerhalb von drei Monaten vorfinanziert, gepresst und unter die Viynlliebhaber gebracht. HHV und Vinyl Digital haben auch eingekauft. Ein paar Exemplare von der limited Edition sind noch gelistet. Zuschlagen. Bei Discogs wird es teuerer ;-)

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für The Drumlord – Sons of the City. Der Beatschmied aus Budapest hat 16 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks auf die Nadeln der Welt losgelassen. Als Genre wurde vom Label „electrosynthlofijazzboombap“ definiert. Passt ganz gut. Das auf StackOne – Parallax und Herring Franky – Dippin in the Lab folgende Album kommt sehr entspannt rüber und verkürzt die Wartezeit auf den ersten Label-Sampler. BTW: Bombed in the Blunt Shelter könnte noch etwas Unterstützung gebrauchen. Haut rein!

Jazzy Village Vol. 2 (Kick A Dope Verse)

Nach Jazzy Village Vol. 1 hat auch der zweite Teil Jazzy Village Vol. 2 eine lange Reise hinter sich. Gefühlt einen Monat haben die russische und deutsche Post für den Transport ins Vinyl-41-HQ gebraucht. Aber wie so oft, das Warten hat sich gelohnt. 16 jazzige Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks erwarten den geneigten Zuhörer bei dieser grossartigen Compilation. Wie schon der erste Teil, hat mich auch die zweite Ausgabe total überzeugt. Ihr könnt Euch die Kassette – in der Farbe Eurer Wahl – direkt bei Bandcamp für 10 US-Währungseinheiten (zzgl. Versand) zulegen. Ich hoffe, dass man beim russischen Underground Hip-Hop Label Kick A Dope Verse schon an der Fortsetzung aka Vol. 3 schraubt.

QRATES macht es manchmal echt spannend. Das Vinyl-Crowdfunding-Projekt tusken. x Flitz&Suppe – Nomads Void (Nyati / Always Proper) wurde im November 2017 gestartet und Mitte Mai 2018 mit 300 Kopien beendet. Ausgeliefert wurde die Platte im Juli 2018. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt. In den Onlineshops von HHV und Vinyl Digital sind noch ein paar Exemplare gelistet. Gönnt sie Euch!

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für tusken. x Flitz&Suppe – Nomads Void. Ganz grosses Klangkino, dass die beiden Beatschmiede für das Vinyl gezaubert haben. Das österreichisch-deutsche Joint Venture tusken. x Flitz&Suppe hat für die Platte 16 grandiose Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks produziert. Spacige Beats zwischen Boom Bap und Lo-Fi treffen auf jazzige Samples. Exzellentes Album. Die beiden Produzenten sollten sich des Öfteren im Studio über den Weg laufen. Nomads Void Vol. 2 klingt doch gut, oder?! ;-)
