Mit smog – fragile aesthetics hat der Beatschmied endlich den Nachfolger von EXPEDITion Vol. 4: Nights (2015 / VINDIG141) abgeliefert. Das Album, dass als sehr hübsches Light blue colored Vinyl daherkommt, ist erneut über Vinyl Digital erschienen (VINDIG297). Lediglich 100 Kopien wurden gepresst, von denen noch ein paar Exemplare im Online-Shop des Labels verfügbar sind.

Meine Wertung: 9/10 für smog – fragile aesthetics. 17 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks, die hin und wieder passend in das Electro Genre abgleiten, hat Schmock für die gut aussehende Platte produziert. Chillige Beats und jazzig soulige Samples sind auch hier das Erfolg bringende Konzept. Features von Harry Crotch, crssspace und Louisa kommen noch on top. Ein Debüt Album, dass so richtig Spass macht und sehr oft im Vinyl-41-HQ rotiert.
