Die Tage werden länger. Die Sonne wird intensiver. Da kann man schon mal eine Sommer Platte an den Start bringen. „Amerigo Gazaway – Endless Summer“ wurde in grünes Polyvinylchlorid gepresst und im Mai 2019 veröffentlicht. Die Cover Fotos hat Marija Podolski begesteuert.

Amerigo Gazaway – der Beatschmied und Mashup Magier aus Berkeley, California, USA – hat für „Endless Summer“ insgesamt 12 Tunes produziert. Das Album ist voller großartiger Beats mit souligen Samples, die schon jetzt den Sommer aus den Boxen wummern lassen. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Summertime“, „Silly Love Song“ und „C’mon Baby“. Die Vinyl Dealer HHV und VinDig haben noch ein paar grüne Kopien auf Lager. Gönnt euch die sommerlichen Vibes … :-)

Am 08. März 2020 ist über Amajin Records der neueste Streich von Mr. Backside erschienen und mein kleines Fan-Boy-Herz dreht mal wieder richtig am Rad. „Galaxy Dreams“ (AR-109-CC) nennt sich das Tape, dass mit 20 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks überaus prall gefüllt wurde.

„digitalluc – re​:​ups“

wurde erstmals im Januar 2018 als digitales Album und als Kassette (Onda Tape) veröffentlicht. Zwei Jahre später landen die 16 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks dank HHV Records (HHV769) endlich dort, wo sie eigentlich nativ hingehören, auf ein Vinyl! An den Boom Bap Beats, die digitalluc einst für „re​:​ups“ produzierte, hat sich nichts geändert. Sie sind auch in 2020 total fett und klingen dank des schwarzen Polyvinylchlorids nochmal deutlich besser. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „t8ps“, „katzenstreu Instrumental w/ Knowsum“ und „one for her“. Erhältlich ist die Platte im Online-Shop von HHV.

Mit „Romantic“ hat der britische Beatschmied Sugi.wa sein beachtliches Vinyl Debüt hingelegt. Die Platte ist über das Label Radio Juicy (RJ099) erschienen. Herstellung und Vertrieb hat wieder das belgische Label Urban Waves übernommen. Das Artwork stammt von Kikkujo . JOYCE©. Für das Mastering ist die Wiener Analoglende sterilOne (Staub Audio Engineering) verantwortlich.

Sugi.wa hat für seinen vinylen Erstling „Romantic“ satte 20 Tunes produziert. Die Hip Hop Beats zwischen Jazz, Blues und Soul sind so dermassen entspannt und melodisch, dass einem wirklich total romantisch ums Herz wird. Exzellentes Album, dass passender weise in rotes Polyvinylchlorid gepresst wurde. Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Don’t Even Know“, „All Mine“, „Carla Lullaby Flip“ und „Terrors“. Erhältlich ist das optische und musikalische Schmuckstück direkt beim Label oder im Online-Shop von HHV Records.

Frische Ware vom Independent Record Label beatsupply: „The Meeting of Two Personalities“ von Behind Clouds und „Jarhead“ von Isaac Tumor. Beide Tapes wurden im Februar 2020 veröffentlicht („Jarhead“ eigentlich nur digital). Die EP von Behind Clouds ist ein kleiner Ausflug in die chilligen Welten des Hip Hop Genres und ein perfekter Soundtrack für die heimische Kautsch. Die Beats von Isaac Tumor bewegen sich zwischen Lo-Fi, Ambient und Downtempo und sollten auf dem gleichen Sitzmöbel genossen werden.
