Endlich mal wieder ein neuer analoger Datenträger von Q-Cut. „RHAB“ nennt sich das hübsche Stück, dass vom Berliner Indie- und Lieblings-Record-Label Dezi-Belle hergestellt und verziert wurde (silkscreen print, baby!). Wie schon einst bei Oliphant Critters: Nichts von der Stange, nichts für die Hitparaden, aber voll knorkes Beatzeugs. Macht mal laut! Ihr müsst euch aber beeilen, denn aktuell sind nur noch 3 Kopien verfügbar …

Schön, dass Godfather Don mal wieder ein Instrumental Album raushaut. Schade, dass es wohl das letzte Vinyl von Beat Jazz International werden wird. Instant buy!

Retrogott – 12 Bit, 10 Seconds, Infinite Flavor (BJINT)
Da ist sie endlich, die fehlende BJINT019. Retrogott mal wieder im puren Instrumentalmodus. Hamma! 12-Bit-Klänge, kurze Loops, viel Jazz-Feeling und ein lässiger Kopfnicker-Groove von vorne bis hinten. Die Beats sind reduziert, aber detailverliebt. Kleine Melodie-Schnipsel, staubige Drums, dezente Bassläufe. Einsortiert zwischen Boombap und Lo-Fi-Jazz. Leider (für euch) ist die über Beat Jazz International / HHV erschienene Platte schon ausverkauft … aber das Ding kann man zur Not auch digital geniessen!

FloFilz – Hagaki 葉書
schickt mit „Hagaki 葉書“ eine musikalische Postkarte direkt aus Tokio ins Vinyl41-HQ. Jazzige Hip Hop Beats und jede Menge feinster Melodien machen das Album zu einem echten Hörgenuss. Das Vinyl ist über Melting Pot Music erschienen und kommt im schicken Gatefold mit Obi Strip und 20-seitigem Fotoheft von Robert Winter ums Eck.
Außerdem gibt gab es eine orangefarbene Limited Edition (300 Stück, HHV exklusiv) und eine feine Washi-Version mit handgefertigtem Cover. Klanglich wie optisch ein Highlight. Ich habe mir zusätzlich noch das 28-seitige Riso-printed photo zine von Robert Winter gegönnt. Perfekter Augenschmaus beim Hören der Platte!
