Das 15 Tracks starke Lo-Fi Vinyl des japanischen Produzenten ist über das Dreifach-Beat-Kombinat Urban Waves, Radio Juicy und HHV Records (HHV726) erschienen. Die Platte ist auf 300 Kopien limitiert und noch im Online-Shop von HHV verfügbar.

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für Tajima Hal – Isolated Planet. Drei Jahre nach tones hat der Lo-Fi-Spezialist aus Yokohama endlich wieder ein „ganzes“ Album am Start. Die 15 Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks, die der Beatschmied aus dem Land der aufgehenden Sonne für Isolated Planet produziert hat, bestechen durch den sparsamen Einsatz von Klangwerkzeugen und Effekten. Minimale und chillige Beats treffen auf staubige Jazz Samples. Mehr braucht es nicht, um (mich) zu überzeugen. 素晴らしい記録!

Pardon My French: On The Radar Vol. 3

Nach Kanada und Good Old Germany ist jetzt Frankreich auf dem Radar von Millennium Jazz Music erschienen. Für Pardon My French: OTR Vol. 3 durften sich 17 französische Produzenten mit ihren Instrumental Hip Hop Tracks auf dem Tape verewigen. Neben den mir schon bekannten Beatschmieden Slone, L’indécis, KarmawiN und Kayo gab es wieder viel zu entdecken. Erneut eine sehr schöne Compilation vom Londoner Label Millennium Jazz Music. Die Kassette könnt ihr direkt bei Bandcamp bestellen. Aber ziemlich zügig, denn das Ding ist auf 100 Kopien limitiert! Für OTR Vol. 4 geht es dann Richtung Osten: „With Love From Russia Coming Soon…“

Jetzt aber schnell … Die auf Radio Juicy Vol. 161 basierende Platte ist im August 2016 über das äusserst erfolgreiche Label-Dreigestirn Radio Juicy – Urban Waves – HHV erschienen. Das 14 Tracks starke Instrumental Hip Hop Vinyl der beiden Beatschmiede mit Roots in Österreich ist noch im Online-Shop von HHV verfügbar. Gönnt es euch. Meine Wertung: 9/10 für Mono:Massive x Philanthrope – Monothrope. Was für eine Instrumental Perle ist da mal wieder durch meine kleine Instagram-Serie #auchmalwiederdran ins Rampenlicht zurückgekehrt?! Die beiden Produzenten from Austria haben von Intro bis Outro ein grossartiges Album hingelegt. Chillig jazzige Boombap Beats und vinylig knisternde Samples sind das so einfache wie geniale Zubehör für Monothrope. Prädikat: Daumen hoch!

Kleines Tänzchen zur Mittagspause gefällig? Hier ist der passende Soundtrack: Flamingosis – Flight Fantastic. Der Beatschmied aus New Jersey hat – unter freundlicher Mitarbeit von Birocratic, Tokyo Megaplex und The Kount – für sein neuestes Album 15 Tracks produziert, die nicht nur den Kopf nicken lassen. Auch die Hüfte wird musikalisch von den funkigen Hip Hop Instrumentals angesprochen. Feel Good Beats vom Allerfeinsten. Leider ist Flight Fantastic momentan nur als digitales Album verfügbar. sterilOne / Ikarus Split (Das Label mit dem Hund)

Das Label mit dem Hund hat mal wieder ein voll schnaftes Tape rausgehauen: sterilOne / Ikarus Split. Auf Seite A ist die nonlinear romance EP von sterilOne zu hören. Acht Tracks voller Romantik und Melancholie hat der Wiener Beatschmied für seine EP eingespielt. Seite B ist voll mit Summertime Madness. Auch Ikarus hat es etwas ruhiger angehen lassen und eher wehmütige bis träumerische Töne angeschlagen. Beide Seiten passen perfekt zusammen und auch zum derzeitigen Wetter. Ab auf den Balkon, ein kühles Getränk zur Hand, aufgedreht und die Seele baumeln lassen. So muss das.
