Zwei Songs wurden in schwarzes Polyvinylchlorid gepresst: auf der A-Seite „Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)“, eine Cover-Version von Frank Wilson und auf der B-Seite „Nightshift“, ein Hit der Commodores. Das Heft erscheint am 22. Dezember 2022 im Handel und kann über rollingstone.de/springsteen vorbestellt werden.

In guter Gesellschaft. Davon kann man ausgehen, wenn die Hamburger Soulbrotha Boogiedown Base & 12 Finger Dan mit dem Münchener Produzenten Roccwell ihre musikalischen Superkräfte bündeln. Diesem Hip Hop Joint Venture ist das Album „SoulRocca – In Good Company“ entsprungen, dass Anfang Dezember 2022 über das Label Beat Art Department (BAD015-1) erschienen ist.
Die Platte ist prall gefüllt mit oldschooligen Boom-Bap-Beats des Produzenten Trios. Aber was wäre ein zünftiges Hip-Hop-Vinyl ohne krasse Rhymes? Eine kuhle Instrumental-Scheibe! Spaß beseite und Rhymes nach vorn. Für die wortgewaltige Unterstützung haben die SoulRoccas J-Live, Q Ball & Curt Cazal von QnC, M-Dot, Wildelux und einige mehr vor das Mikro „gelockt“. Und die haben ihre Lines exzellent abgeliefert. Hamma!

Meine Wertung: 9/10. Favoriten: „Classic Position“ und „Beastin“. Großartiges Album, dass einen gedanklich in die Golden Era zurückballert. Danke dafür! Das Vinyl könnt ihr euch bei Bandcamp, HHV oder VinDig zulegen.
