GrandHuit & Atamone – Venture (Tour De Manège)

Kanada ist hier bei Vinyl 41 – bis auf ein paar Tapes – noch nicht so gross vertreten. Das ändert sich jetzt mit dem Vinyl GrandHuit & Atamone – Venture, dass in einer Auflage von 300 Kopien über das Label Reality Check erschienen ist. Bei Bandcamp, HHV und Vinyl Digital ist das gute Stück noch zu haben.

„Grandhuit is a Beatmaker/Artist from Reunion Island; After travelling different parts of the world; making connections to create Tour De Manège (with GooMar and JoBer) he found his place in Montreal in 2013; where he continues to develop new artistic and musical projects in the worldwide beat scene.

Atamone is a Montreal born Producer/Artist from the far North of Canada. After growing up many years in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; He pursued studies in Sound Design for Visual Media in Vancouver; Eventually moving back home to Montreal in 2011 to focus on his personal projects.

In 2016; the 2 artists meet to create a new project; binding both creative minds and cultures.

Venture is the result of a year experimenting with samples and exploring new shapes in sounds. Illustrated by JoBer and produced by Dj FIP (Reality Check), Venture is the second episode of the Astral Factor’s story introduced by GooMar.“

Wertung

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für GrandHuit & Atamone – Venture. Die beiden Beatschmiede, die in Reunion Island und Montreal beheimatet sind, haben mit dieser Platte ein grossartiges Debüt hingelegt. Mit DJ FIP an ihrer Seite haben sie 10 Tracks produziert, die durchweg Spass machen. Wie schon beim designierten Vorgänger GoomarThe Astral Factor ist das Album Venture prall gefüllt mit feinstem instrumentalem Hip und Trip Hop. Genau so, wie es der Schreiber dieser Zeilen mag.

invention – hibernature

Eigentlich erscheint das Album aus dem Radio Juicy – Urban Waves – HHV – Joint Venture erst am 23.08.2017. Aus irgendeinem Grund oder durch irgendeine höhere Macht hat das Vinyl „invention – hibernature“ (HHV645) schon vor dem offiziellen Release seinen Weg in meinen Briefkasten gefunden. Und das ist auch gut so. Denn je eher man das richtig gute Album hört, umso länger hat man etwas davon.

Wertung für invention – hibernature

Meine Wertung: 8/10 für „invention – hibernature“. Vom Album kann man bis zum offiziellen Release am 23.08.2017 bei Bandcamp nur zwei Titel vorhören. ｍ●◑ｎ.ｓｈ○ｗｅｒ und ｑｕｅｒｅｎｃｉａ, mehr nicht. Um so mehr war ich auf das Vinyl gespannt. Was soll ich sagen … Hamma! Aufgelegt und komplett durchgehört. Was für ein entspanntes Album, lo-lo-fi sozusagen. Das Klavier gehört eigentlich nicht zu meinen favorisierten Instrumenten. Aber hier passt es wie die Faust aufs Auge. Gemeinsam mit den jazzigen Beats und den gut passenden Naturgeräuschen sorgt der tastengetriebene Holzkasten für eine überaus chillige Stimmung. Die Platte macht richtig Spass und lässt einen komplett relaxen.

Mein Tipp: schnell zuschlagen, denn das Vinyl ist auf knappe 300 Kopien limitiert. Hier könnt ihr schon mal reinhören:
