Ozelot x Popadiclo – EXPEDITion Vol. 23: Blue Cheese Bumps
Ozelot x Popadiclo? Hmmm, hatte ich bisher noch nicht so auf dem Schirm. Aber auch dafür ist die EXPEDITion-Reihe von Vinyl Digital gut: Immer mal wieder was neues. „Ozelot x Popadiclo – EXPEDITion Vol. 23: Blue Cheese Bumps“ (VinDig387) ist am 25. September digital erschienen. Das auf 300 handnummerierte Exemplare limitierte Vinyl folgte dann ein paar Tage später.
Das Producer-Duo Ozelot und Popadiclo hat für EXPEDITion Vol. 23 (müsste langsam mal in Kallax umbenannt werden!) die standardisierte Anzahl von 10 Tracks gebastelt. Die Beats schwanken zwischen klassischem Boom Bap, Jazzhop, sphärischem Chillhop und experimentellen Stücken – etwas unruhig – hin und her. Von den beiden Beatschmieden wurde für „Blue Cheese Bumps“ eine ziemlich grosse Bandbreite des Instrumental Hip Hop beackert. Klingt manchmal eher nach einem Sampler, statt nach einem Album. Aber no offense, trotzdem gut! Meine Wertung: 8/10. Favoriten: „Twizzy“, „Ice Desert“ und „Beyond a Dream feat. Henace“ (Hamma!).
